How telehealth works
Telehealth visits let you meet with your provider by secure video from home, work, or another private location. Most evaluations and medication follow-ups can be completed by video; your provider will tell you if an in-person visit is needed.
Preparing for your video visit
A few minutes of preparation makes video visits go smoothly:
- Find a quiet, private space where you can speak freely
- Use a device with a camera, microphone, and reliable internet
- Test your audio and video a few minutes before the appointment
- Have your medication list and pharmacy information handy
- Keep your phone nearby in case the video connection fails
Location requirements
Telehealth regulations generally require that you be physically located in California at the time of your visit. Let our office know in advance if you will be traveling.
